Creating a people-powered philanthropic approach that provides women and their families specialized lifelines to meet their very unique needs quickly.

“GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity in all its forms by sharing acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.” – GivingTuesday.org

In 2012, when GivingTuesday was launched, we had a big goal: to make giving more central in daily life. Our commitment to a core set of values, an open, distributed leadership model, and a belief in transformational partnerships set us on a course to build the first global generosity movement and the first global day of celebration open to anyone and everyone.

Today, GivingTuesday is an inclusive and pluralistic community of millions of givers, with activity in every country on every continent. We celebrate and uplift grassroots generosity and generosity as a universally held value. Around the world, across diverse giving cultures, our network of local leaders in over 70 countries and hundreds of communities innovate, collaborate, and inspire collective generosity as a way to build the world they want to live in.

Giving Tuesday – Atta Girl Giving Circle

“The AttaGirl Giving Circle consists of up to 25 women across the country, of all ages and economic backgrounds, who collectively pool their resources to support organizations who focus on career development, health and safety; small business development, and individual prosperity. This intimate group of 25 women meet virtually, every-other-month for an hour to create a community with one another, to learn about and from each other, to perform courageous deep-dives into the issues and causes that are most important to us and to democratize philanthropy that provides an avenue for people without substantial means to participate in significant giving.” AttaGirl Giving Circle

Remember that the giving spirit doesn’t have to be just one day per year. We encourage you to extend your generosity throughout the year. If you are unable to give from your wallet, give from your heart. Everyone has their own unique gifts to share. Service work and volunteering are also ways that you can give.

Remember to be kind to yourselves, and each other. Until next time, Peace.
