Jacksonville Bicentennial, Juneteenth, PRIDE- The Insurrection Committee – News and more -S3-Ep4
* A city only gets one bicentennial. Jacksonville deserves a moment to reflect on its first 200 years and look ahead to the next 200. But many are not interested in celebrating saying that the city has a dark past. The city council has repeatedly scoffed at removing more of it’s confederate monuments, when in fact the city was a Union stronghold.
* Juneteenth celebrations, which are nationwide, to commemorate the emancipation of slaves. Many white evangelicals, republican Trump followers, complaining that it’s not necessary, much the way they complain about blacks having BET.
* PRIDE celebrations, also Nationwide, also the same white evangelicals, republican Trump followers, complaining that it’s not necessary.
